With E3 around the corner and a possible Smash data-mine revealing an extra DLC character slot in Ultimate's game files, many Waluigi fans are left wondering if he'll finally take his long-deserved roster spot. The render was revealed alongside a new blue Nintendo Switch Lite. Waluigi is shown holding a rose and sticking his tongue out, striking a fairly exaggerated pose that fits with the character's personality. This Waluigi render, however, is an entirely new creation and is pretty out-there. One difference for Toad's Special Shot is that he uses a Mega Mushroom and makes the ball grow giant before hitting it, but the function is the same as the others. This Special Shot is shared between Mario, Daisy, Donkey Kong, Bowser, and Toad. It seems as though Nintendo has been updating some older renders for their characters as of late, such as with Diddy Kong getting an updated version of his Mario Party DS render. Makes the ball grow giant and blasts away balls on impact. Meanwhile, Waluigi's new render is more notable due to how it seems to lean into the character's meme-worthy persona that the internet has latched onto. For Mario Golf: Super Rush on the Nintendo Switch, a GameFAQs message board topic titled Julys Ranked Match reward is Waluigi in his classic overalls. This design seems to both stick to what makes Wario recognizable while also experimenting a bit with his getup. Wario's also got a flashy belt-buckle and some brightly-colored checkered pants. He's still got his iconic yellow and purple color scheme, though his typical cap has been replaced with a Texas ten-gallon hat. It seems as though Camelot is taking a few creative liberties with the golf attire in the game, as Wario has been given an outfit that is unlike anything he's been seen in before. Those added spin bars can be used to better shape shots, making up for the lack of control.To start, Wario's attire in Mario Golf: Super Rushtook plenty of fans by surprise with just how different it is. Each set of clubs upgrades his power by 30 yards each and sees him lose a bit of control to gain more spin. Waluigi unlocks new club sets at 1,000 and 3,000 Character Points respectively. While not as annoying to deal with as other character's abilities, Waluigi can certainly put his opponents in tough situations with a well-timed special shot. However, you can also it to knock aside your opponents balls that are in your path. The most important one is that it allows you to easily shoot under trees or other hazards on a course. Waluigi's special shot sends a low-flying ball darting across the course.
